New Jersey Offshore Wind Public Stakeholder Meeting Registration



  • Public Meeting Overview
    The New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (NJBPU) will hold public meetings to gather input from stakeholders on the State’s Offshore Wind Strategic Plan (OWSP). The NJBPU is spearheading development of the OWSP in response to New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy’s Executive Order No. 8, which directs the NJBPU to fully implement the Offshore Wind Economic Development Act (OWEDA). OWEDA allows State agencies to craft an Offshore Wind Renewable Energy Credit (OWREC) and begin the process of moving the State toward the Governor’s goal of 3,500 megawatts (MWs) of offshore wind energy generation by 2030. It is anticipated that the development of this abundant, renewable, and sustainable energy source will yield substantial environmental and economic benefits to the state.

    Please join us at one or all of these meetings. Topics will include an overview of the OWSP development process, its goals and objectives, and its potential benefits for New Jersey’s environment and economy, as well as a look at the robust outreach program being conducted by the NJBPU and the various ways stakeholders can participate in the process.
